Plan A or Plan B?
At your first examination your dentist or hygienist will recommend one. Broadly speaking:
Plan A, When
your gums hardly ever bleed, gum disease has never been much of an issue, and tartar is slow to build between appointments. For people in that position, a clean every six months is usually plenty.
Plan B, When
you've had gum treatment in the past, you have implants, you're a smoker, or you have diabetes, all of which put the gums at greater risk. Three-monthly hygiene visits are also required under our implant guarantee: 5-year guarantee for non-smokers who attend hygiene visits every 3 months.
In fairness, if one examination a year is all you want and you seldom need a clean, paying per visit may work out cheaper than a plan. Ask and we'll run the numbers with you.
What a Plan Year Looks Like
A typical rhythm. Before you leave each appointment, reception books the next one, so nothing gets forgotten.
How We Compare Locally
Most practice plans in Dundee and across Angus fall roughly between £16 and £28 a month, and Plan A is within that band. Plan B is dearer because it buys four hygiene appointments instead of two.
A monthly price by itself says very little. Before you compare, look at:
Member Fees

Your examinations, the small X-rays and the standard half-hour hygiene visits are covered by the plan itself, and emergency appointments are free. Implants, Invisalign, composite bonding and veneers carry no plan discount.
