All-on-4 Prices in Scotland
Two full-arch quotes in Scotland can be thousands apart and still cover different things. This guide sets out our fee item by item, explains what adds to a price, and shows how to put rival quotes on a level footing.
What Does All-on-4 Cost in Scotland?
Ferry Smile Studios in Broughty Ferry prices full-arch / All-on-4 treatment from £9,300 per arch, on the first of four pathways. The others, also per arch, are Staged Treatment at £11,500, Same-Day Fixed Teeth at £13,500 and Premium Guided Zirconia at £14,950. Clinics across Scotland publish anything from about £9,495 to £17,000 an arch, and most never spell out what that buys. Each of our pathway fees covers the assessment, CBCT scan and 3D planning, a written plan, the surgery and final bridge that pathway sets out, and your reviews until treatment is complete.
What Scottish Clinics Are Charging
We checked the fees that clinics around Scotland were publishing online in 2026. Fixed full-arch treatment started at roughly £9,495 an arch, topping out around £17,000. Nearer to the Ferry, the small number of Dundee and Angus practices that show a price at all are rare: one Monifieth clinic lists a fixed arch close to the upper end of that range, and a removable implant denture is advertised at under £10,000. Now and again an advert will undercut all of these.
What matters is what those figures miss out. Hardly any clinic breaks its fee down. One price might be for the implants alone, with the bridge billed later; another might be the reverse. Scans, extractions, temporary teeth and sedation may all sit outside the number you're shown. So two quotes that appear £3,000 apart can finish level once the extras are in, and the cheaper-looking one can end up dearer.
What Every Pathway Fee Covers
Whichever of the four pathways suits your mouth, its fee per arch includes all of the following: 1
| Stage | What's covered |
|---|---|
| Assessment | A full-arch assessment with Dr Sharma, around an hour |
| 3D imaging | A CBCT scan taken on the scanner in our own building, plus digital records |
| Planning | Every implant position worked out in 3D from that scan |
| Written plan | Your pathway, its fixed fee and anything priced separately, in writing before you commit |
| Surgery | The implant surgery your pathway sets out, with MegaGen AnyRidge implants |
| Permanent bridge | The final bridge your pathway specifies, made from a digital scan once you've healed |
| Reviews | Routine surgical and restorative check-ups until your treatment is complete |
| Guarantee | 5-year guarantee for non-smokers who attend hygiene visits every 3 months |
Other items belong to particular pathways rather than to every fee. Extractions and routine grafting where it's clinically needed come with Staged, Same-Day and Premium. Fixed provisional teeth on surgery day come with Same-Day and Premium only, where it's clinically suitable. 2 That comes down to the quality of your bone and how firmly the implants hold once placed, and if fixed teeth can't go in that day, you still pay the same pathway fee. The custom surgical guide is part of Premium alone.
The consultation itself is free. To hold the slot we take a £40 deposit, returned within 7 days.
A Fixed Fee, in Writing
Your free consultation and CT scan at our Broughty Ferry practice ends with an itemised plan, so you decide with the numbers in front of you.
Four Pathways, Four Prices
The fee follows the route your treatment has to take, not the number of implants. Each pathway has one set price per arch:
| Pathway | Per arch | At a glance |
|---|---|---|
| 01 Healed Foundation | £9,300 | Your gums healed long ago and no teeth remain, often under a full denture you wear now. Four implants, about three months for them to settle, then a fixed acrylic / PMMA bridge, or zirconia on a titanium bar as an optional upgrade for £2,500 more |
| 02 Staged Treatment | £11,500 | Failing teeth are taken out first, with routine grafting if required, and you wear a removable temporary denture while things heal. Four implants follow, then the fixed bridge, in acrylic / PMMA |
| 03 Same-Day Fixed Teeth | £13,500 | Teeth out and four to six implants in at one appointment, with fixed provisional teeth that day where clinically suitable 2. A separate acrylic / PMMA bridge is fitted after healing |
| 04 Premium Guided Zirconia | £14,950 | The same-day route of pathway 03 with advanced digital surgical planning and a custom MegaGen R2 surgical guide added, and a zirconia finish: the teeth are fixed to a titanium bar milled to fit your implants |
Your mouth largely decides which pathways are open to you: whether teeth still have to come out, what the scan shows of your bone, and whether fixed teeth on the day would be safe. Where more than one would work, Dr Sharma talks you through the differences. The two final bridges, acrylic / PMMA and zirconia on titanium, are weighed against each other properly in our bridge options guide.
Treating Both Jaws
Each arch is priced on its own, so treating both means two arch fees, added together on your written plan: two arches on Healed Foundation come to £18,600. Upper and lower don't have to follow the same pathway. A lower jaw that healed years ago might suit Healed Foundation while the upper, with failing teeth still in place, needs Staged or Same-Day treatment.
You might have upper and lower treated together, in a single sedated visit. Or you could start with one arch and return for the other when you're ready, which spreads the spending. Our implant dentist will advise whether your remaining teeth can safely wait.
Things That Add to the Price
The arch fee is fixed from the moment your plan is agreed. A handful of items sit outside it, and each would be written into your quote before you commit:
- IV sedation. Most of our full-arch patients opt for it. The charge is £500 a session, with £250 for every additional 30 minutes.
- Larger grafts and sinus work. Routine grafting during surgery sits inside the Staged, Same-Day and Premium fees when it's clinically needed. More extensive bone augmentation, or a sinus procedure, is quoted on its own; grafting charges start from £535.
- Zirconia on Healed Foundation. Healed Foundation comes with an acrylic / PMMA bridge. Should you prefer zirconia teeth on a titanium bar, that upgrade is optional and adds £2,500 to the arch fee.
- Treating gum disease first. Infection around other teeth has to be brought under control before we operate.
- Long-term maintenance. Once your treatment is complete, the hygiene visits that keep your guarantee valid, four a year, are charged as you go or included in Plan B membership.
Elsewhere, be alert to a fee that climbs with every additional implant, temporary teeth invoiced separately, or a scan added on top. None of those applies here.
When the Lowest Price Isn't the Lowest Cost
A cheap headline figure can be perfectly honest. In full-arch dentistry, though, the lowest number frequently conceals a cost that surfaces later:
- Items left out. When scanning, extractions or temporaries sit outside the headline figure, they're billed on afterwards.
- Unclear temporary teeth. A removable denture during healing is a perfectly sound route, but a quote should say plainly whether that, or fixed teeth on the day, is what you're paying for.
- An obscure implant brand. If few dentists use the system, sourcing parts for a repair years down the line can be a struggle.
- No CT scan. Placing implants without planning them in 3D from a scan makes a badly positioned implant more likely.
- Little follow-up. A guarantee means nothing without the aftercare to stand behind it.
Rescuing a badly planned or failed full arch is nearly always dearer than getting it right at the outset. What we see when things go wrong is covered in our guide to treatment abroad.
Comparing Quotes Fairly
Whether the rival clinic is in Dundee, elsewhere in Angus or further afield, get each practice's answers to these in writing:
- Is the CT scan part of the fee?
- Are extractions included?
- If five or six implants are needed, does the price go up?
- Are fixed teeth fitted on surgery day, does the price include them, and does it change if they can't be fitted?
- Which material will the permanent bridge be, and is it covered?
- Should an implant fail, what happens and who pays for it?
- Which brand of implant do you place?
Line the answers up against one another and the real cost of each quote shows itself. If you're looking at a single tooth instead, read our implant cost guide for Broughty Ferry.
Questions
This guide is general information, not a diagnosis. A dentist needs to examine you to say what is right for your teeth.
