Invisalign Prices, Broughty Ferry
All five of our Invisalign fees, everything that each one covers, how to work out which package your teeth will need, and how we compare with other practices across Dundee and Angus.
What Does Invisalign Cost in Broughty Ferry?
Invisalign at Ferry Smile Studios is priced by package: Express at £2,500, Lite at £3,500, Moderate at £4,000, Comprehensive at £4,500 and Comprehensive Plus at £5,000. Every one of those fees already covers your scans and X-rays, any refinements, a set of Vivera retainers, home whitening and one hygiene appointment, and it is confirmed in writing before you start. Your consultation is free, with a £40 deposit returned to you after you attend.
Our Five Prices
| Package | Usually suits | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Express | Slight crowding, small spaces, or a touch of relapse after braces years ago | £2,500 |
| Lite | Mild crowding or a modest space | £3,500 |
| Moderate | Several teeth on the move, or a minor bite correction | £4,000 |
| Comprehensive | Bigger movements, usually in both arches | £4,500 |
| Comprehensive Plus | The most demanding cases that aligners can still treat | £5,000 |
The package is determined by the amount your teeth have to move, not by the number of visits you will make. Once your written plan sets out the fee, it stays fixed. 1
Everything the Fee Includes
The items that often appear as extras on other quotes are built into ours. Every Invisalign package covers:
- your iTero Lumina scan, the simulation and X-rays
- every aligner in the package
- refinements, which are the additional aligners sometimes needed at the end to finish off one or two stubborn teeth
- Vivera retainers when treatment ends
- home whitening using custom-made trays
- one hygiene appointment
Purchased separately, those three extras (retainers, whitening and a clean) would come to £950: Vivera retainers cost £530, whitening at home £350 and a half-hour hygiene appointment £70.
Have Your Fee Confirmed in Writing
The package is decided by your scan and simulation, and the consultation costs nothing.
Working Out Your Package
There is no guesswork on your part. Even so, a rough idea is useful for budgeting before your visit.
- Express is typical for someone who wore braces as a teenager and has since spotted a couple of the lower front teeth edging out of line. A few months is usually enough.
- Lite handles slightly more: a front tooth that overlaps a little, or a gap that just shows when you smile.
- Moderate suits crowding involving several teeth, or a small overbite to be corrected at the same time.
- Comprehensive is for people with obvious crowding in both arches who have never had orthodontic treatment. Expect somewhere around twelve to eighteen months.
- Comprehensive Plus covers the most demanding movements that remain within what aligners can do well.
Should your examination show the issue lies mainly in the position of the jaws, aligners may not be the answer at all, and we will tell you so rather than sell you a package.
Where Our Prices Sit Locally
When we looked at the websites of practices around Dundee and Angus during October 2026, we found Invisalign generally advertised from around £1,500 for a short course up to £4,400, with specialist orthodontists pricing complex cases higher. Those are starting points, and they frequently exclude retainers, whitening or refinements, each of which can add a few hundred pounds by the time you finish.
Our Express fee is at the lower end of that local range and has all three included. The larger packages carry a higher fee because they involve a great deal more tooth movement, not because add-ons have been stacked on top. Every fee is published on our price list, so you can set any written quote alongside it.
Among general dental practices in Dundee and Angus, we did not find another advertising Invisalign Diamond Apex status; the only other Diamond Apex provider we found is a specialist orthodontic practice in the city centre. Our group has held it every year from 2022 to 2026. It is a measure of case volume: Align Technology grants it to the top 1% of European providers by number of cases treated. It demonstrates how much aligner work we do. It is no qualification, and it makes nobody an orthodontist.
Why a Cheap Headline Can End Up Dearer
Most of the gap between quotes comes down to two things. First, refinements. Teeth seldom follow the computer plan to the letter, so a good many people need another round of aligners as the end approaches. If those are billed per round, a modest opening price soon climbs. Second, retainers. They are for life, and a quote without them has left out the most important part of protecting your result.
Single-arch pricing is another frequent catch. For some people, treating one arch alone, upper or lower, works perfectly well, but where your bite calls for both arches, a one-arch figure is not a like-for-like comparison.
Six Questions for Any Practice
- Does the price include both arches, and which package is it for?
- If I need additional aligners at the end, will I be charged?
- Are retainers in the price, and what type?
- Are the scan, X-rays and examinations covered?
- Who will be planning and reviewing my treatment?
- Will the fee be put in writing before anything is ordered?
Our written plan answers all six before anything starts. Where another practice's quote looks cheaper, test it against this list before making a decision.
What the Package Does Not Cover
Being clear about the boundaries avoids disagreements later. Any treatment required before the aligners can start, such as a filling, gum treatment or an extraction, is charged separately at fee-list prices and explained at your consultation. Likewise any bonding or veneers you opt for afterwards to tidy a chipped or worn edge.
Retainers are included once only. Leave them in a hotel room three years on, or let the dog get hold of them, and replacements are charged for. If you stop wearing your retainers and the teeth drift back far enough that you need aligners again, that counts as a fresh course of treatment, although it is often a short Express one.
How the Fee Is Decided
At your free consultation Dr Nikhil Sharma checks your teeth and gums, scans them with the iTero Lumina and shows you a simulation of where they could end up. The movement in that plan determines the package. You leave with a written fee and no obligation whatsoever to go ahead. Your £40 deposit is refunded within 7 days of the appointment.
If anything needs sorting first, a filling or some gum treatment for example, we will say what it is and what it will cost, there and then at the same visit. What it is actually like to wear aligners is covered in our guide to adult Invisalign.
Questions
This guide is general information, not a diagnosis. A dentist needs to examine you to say what is right for your teeth.
